Pankará is an indigenous people of the semi-arid region of Pernambuco State, Brazil. despite being recognized by the Brazilian government since the 1970s, they have not yet guaranteed the rights to their traditional lands, the Serra do Arapuá. With this work provoke reflections on the identity of the Brazilian Indian who goes far beyond that of the Amazon region.
