From the Series: A Polaroid for a Refugee

By Giovanna del Sarto

Idomeni Camp, Greece, 2016. I noticed these two girls coming out from a tent early morning and I followed them. after a lot of gestures and mimes I managed to take a Polaroid. Well, I have to admit that a lot of people stared at me as if I was a crazy woman with a magic camera. A Polaroid for a Refugee is based on the concept of giving something back to the refugees, maybe a little part of their life captured in an instant. In fact everyone I photographed has a Polaroid picture now.
