Face Death

By Zak Dimitrov

Obituaries / necrologs are A4 sheets, normally put in a plastic pocket, posted around the streets in Bulgaria announcing death. Most are accompanied with a picture and due to weather conditions those images suffer deterioration. I found it interesting how the physical damage to the photograph serves as a metaphor of the passing of time. Does a dirty or ripped necrolog mean that his or her friends and family have forgotten about them? Death is the only taboo left in our society.
